 After 10 years as a classroom teacher, Mrs. Jenness has stepped into a new position this year as Aversboro’s Math Coach. As a Math Coach, Mrs. Jenness serves as a resource for both teachers and parents. Some of her job responsibilities include assisting teachers with math lesson planning, providing staff development for teachers, co-teaching in classrooms during math instruction, conducting workshops for parents, and creating a math rich school environment for students. |
 After 32 years as a classroom teacher, Mr. Teres teaches small group math remediation to third, fourth, and fifth graders. Mr. Teres works with classroom teachers to give extra support to students who are having difficulty with math. His approach focuses on teaching problem solving strategies along with test preparation skills. The goal of Mr. Teres’ math program is to make students independent problem-solvers. |
